STEP 1

      Decisions You Need to make

 

  • Spec of chassis SB5 UHP 1, 2 or 3.

  • Consider a lowered floor option if you are over  6' 4"  (1.93m).

  • Right hand drive (UK spec) or Left hand drive.

  • Which engine are you going to use.  eg (Ford, Mazda) or perhaps a bike engine.

  • Half cage, full cage or a bolt on cage.

  • Powder-coat colour.

Points to consider...

  • Determine your Skill Set ie are there areas of the build that you would require help with eg wiring.  If you have a trusty friend to help you that's great!  Otherwise we can support you.   

  • Purchasing re-manufactured parts from Raptor will make the assembly of your kit straightforward and you will be less likely to be issued a "Q" plate upon registration. 

  • While the chassis is designed for MX5 parts, some of these components have been re-designed and will require some modification ie they are not a straight swap.  We do offer an exchange service for these items 

  • Consider how to register your Self build kit.  See IVA section for details

  • Our pre-built kits are very popular which means that you can fast track your build!

  • Are you limited for space?  Then our rolling chassis option gives you a mobile chassis.  Perfect for moving around your workspace. 

  • Are you terrified of electrics?  Do relays, push button switches, latching switches and wiring a lighting circuit compliant to current IVA  regulations give you the fear?  Then our IVA wired chassis options is for you!  This takes all the stress out of your build.

  • ​In order to comply with the current emission regulations complex engine management systems are required to control every aspect of the running of a modern high performance engine.  These can easily be prewired by our team of factory engineers

  • The build modules can be viewed in sequence of build.

  • You can buy your parts as and when you need them.

  • We only sell genuine Raptor parts giving you the peace of mind that you are fitting quality components designed to fit your Raptor.

  • All parts come with a no quibble warranty provided they have not been tampered with.  

  • You will be able to access our online build videos via private invitation on You Tube.  

  • We offer free technical support if you get into difficulty.  Don't be surprised if you receive a  personal video by return showing you how to solve your problem.

  • Engine management ECU's have a remote access feature for setup and diagnostics (done through team viewer) *
